The so-called "Alternative" real estate sector has attracted a growing level of capital and investors' interest around the world. In 2020 European alternative real estate investments reached €22 billions.
The Alternatives sector includes different asset classess, all of them supported by secular global trends. These asset classess vary depending on the location: Data Centers, Telecommunication Infrastructures, Healthcare, Car Parks...
In Italy, bewteen 2015 and 2020, 8% of investment volumes originated from Alternative real estate. The past twelve months saw increasing activity in the alternative sector, with investments up to 15% from the pre-pandemic results of H1 2019 and a focus on Telecommunication Infrastructures and Data Centers.
